How to set up OBS to stream live

OBS is an open source live streaming application. Setting up OBS to stream to Elsendo is really simple.

1. Download (from the official website) and install OBS.

2. Setup a scene and add your sources (webcam, microphone, instruments..) inside OBS. In our example we use a BLUE Yeti X microphone and a Logitech StreamCam.

3. Adjust the Audio Mixer settings according to your preferences.

4. To start the transmission to Elsendo, you have to open the settings. Click on the "Stream" submenu and use the following settings:
    1. Service: Custom...
    2. Server: rtmps://global-live.mux.com:443/app
    3. Stream Key: You can view your stream key in the cockpit of your stream.
    4. Click inside OBS on the "Start Streaming" button and the transmission to Elsendo starts.

Note: As soon as you start streaming in OBS, it will be visible in your cockpit (because of the latency you must wait up to 10 seconds to see your stream). This allows you to test your Live Stream early. On your webpage (if our player is embedded) your stream transmission is only visible at the defined event start time, from then on all users who bought the Live Stream can see it. The chat opens already 15 minutes before the defined event start time for all users who bought your Live Stream.
